Name written on a bay leaf,
burning
in the flame of a black candle.
Sitting cross-legged
in a circle of salt,
I’ll cast the reek of it out.
Fingerprints on my skin
burned and blistered,
so I’ll shed it;
Molting,
ready to come into my power.
Mind,
Once twisted and fogged
now bright and clear.
‘As above so below’
I dig up graveyard dirt
leaving the bones of it for the worms.
